Assam

Assam, also known as gateway to the North Eastren part of the Inida is a state close to India's international borders with Bangladesh and Bhutan.Its arêa is 78,438 sq km wand population of the state is 26,655,528 (2001 census). Principal spoken language of the state is assamese. It is one the largest states of northeastren India and has 14  parliamentary constituencies.
