Uttrakhand

Uttrakhand came into existence on 1st Nov 2005 and became the 27th state of India. Prior to this time it was an integral part of the UttarPradesh state. Uttrakhand has international boundaries with the China and Nepal. Its population is 8,489,349 and area of the state is 53,484 sq km. It has 5 parliamentary seats in the Lok Sabha.
