Results Andhra Pradesh By-Elections 2010 Update: 13:00 Hrs Results are in for seven Telangana seats and Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) has won six, while BJP has won one. 8:30 Hrs : July 30, 2010 In Andhra Pradesh, the counting of votes for the bye-polls held for 12 Assembly seats in Telangana region has begun with counting of postal ballots. The entire counting process is being videographed and a media and data centre have been set up at every counting center for quick information. Tight security arrangements have been made at 7 counting stations spread over 5 districts where polling was held on Tuesday. The first result from the seven constituencies in which EVMs were used is expected by 11 a.m. while in the other five seats where paper ballot were used, the results would be out by the evening. A central observer at each counting center and a micro observer at each counting table are monitoring the process.
Schedule of Bye-elections July 2010 1st July, Election commision announced today that the two Assembly Constituencies in the state of Andhra Pradesh i.e. 28- Vemulawada and 29 – Sircilla, poll will be held along with the bye-elections already notified for other 10 assembly constituencies, as the disputes related to the above ACs is cleared. Earlier on 21st June 2010, Election Commission announced the Schedule for bye-elections to fill up 10 casual vacancies in the Legislative Assembly of Andhra Pradesh. The 12 Assembly Constituencies going to poll on 27th July in the State of Andhra Pradesh are: 1-Sirpur, 2-Chennur (SC), 04-Mancherial, 15-Yellareddy, 17- Nizamabad (Urban), 20-Koratla, 22-Dharmapuri (SC), 31-Huzurabad, 33-Siddipet,105-Warangal West, 28- Vemulawada and 29 – Sircilla
